Rahul Left for Ahmedabad
Rahul is in Ahmedabad
After a 36-hour train journey, in an AC car, Rahul has finally arrived in Ahmedabad and has settled in to a non-AC hostel with 30 other All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) interns. The place as he describes it, is a 3 star dump. The free labor (a.k.a. interns) sleeps on the dabba (the roof) at night because its soo hot there. Its much hotter than it is in Chennai. I deal with real feel temperatures of 98 to 105F, while Rahul has to deal with 105F to 110F. Miserable. The local news considers it a scorcher. People here think it’s hot too, not just us do-gooders.
